ComPower was established in 1994 by experienced engineers. ComPower has since then grown to become a leading supplier of power electronics, and has established a reputation for delivering reliable and service friendly systems. ComPower is located in Bergen, just two minutes from the international airport and heliport at Flesland, BGO.
ComPower specialise in UPS systems for communication and navigation on board ships and oil rigs. Our systems are module based, service friendly and highly reliable. The systems are designed to be easily accessible to allow for easy maintenance and quick service, to eliminate the risk of down time. Our solutions have a high power ratio, which allows for less heat dissipation. This makes our product smaller and lighter than the alternatives, and reduces energy consumption and ventilation needs. We have also developed a discharge test system for battery banks, which can be integrated into the UPS. The system feeds the power back to the grid on board, saving time, energy and equipment setup.
We are happy to be the preferred supplier to a number of companies worldwide, and have supplied UPS systems to more than one hundred oil platforms and FPSO’s, including most of the installations in the North Sea. We will continue our focus on quality and improvement, keeping our customers safe, and maintaining our status as a supplier of trusted solutions.
